Aerodynamic also called airlaying utilize the aerodynamic principle which results in three-dimensional fiber orientation and total randomization. The air forming system is composed of a series of different fiber treatment sections, which performs different tasks on the fibers.
A series of switch units allow to enable or exclude each section; in this way the machine adjustment for the process of different fiber types and web weights is particularly easy and fast.
The airlay card refines the batt of fibers created into the pneumatic forming section, sets the final thickness and gives the direction and orientation to the fibers
